Only For Teens

Today is the first day of the opening for the blog site. I wanted to make it special. So I sat here for a while and thinking of all the teens out there with problems with their parents. Thinking about why this handbook came flowing through me like a gift. Thinking about how left alone so many of us feel even after we make it out of the house. Successful, maybe.. but do we ever reconcile what we ever needed from our parents? Living at home still, is when we need to find ways to get parents to accept and work with us. Otherwise, later in years, even when we do have the life of fulfillment in work, friends, and living life to its best, there may always be something missing.A void. Something like an irritating emotion that just never was cured early enough. One that you have to always find a way to deal with.

After thinking about that, and speaking to so many teens, and young adults, my heart hurt deeply. So with all of you in mind, this poem came to me. I think it's only right I place it here on the first opening day of the handbooks blog site. Maybe some of you will relate to it and understand it's meaning. Life is good, have a great day and thank for coming by.

There Was A Dragon

He left his home, they said don't come around here no more.
What did he do with that? What could he do anymore?
He spread his wings..those wings must've changed.. a million colors..
on that first flight in vain.
But in the end, it was the flight to begin,
his bright new life ahead that waited for him..
Little did he know then, but he sure knew Now,
when all of his kin, wanted to come to him and bow.
What did he do with that? What could he do anymore?
He hugged his wing's about them, waved a tail, snorted a flame,
he watched them gaze at him in wonder,
as he lifted his huge shining wings,
smiling down from the sky,
his eyes telling them,
I'll try to drop by...
when you understand, love and accept me.
