It Isn’t as easy as, 1 2 3 This is who I want to Be

At least not for Everbody!

What’s KAGOY? Kids Getting Older Younger phenomenon.
This generation of teens is the Y Gen. For you teens out there that don’t know it yet it’s you. You guys are the most powerful, strongest of generations ever to date. Why?
Your parents, the generation before you have given you no choice.
Divorces, one-parent incomes, technology as in television and personal computers, pop culture, parenting style (or lack there of), all have affected you.

The planet itself is in trouble and you know that more than the generation that began its destruction before you, more than they ever had a clue. There’s work ahead for you, already depending on you guys to do good things to make changes of the social climate and planet.
It’s your right to be happy and live your life with a smile right now though!

But I know.. Why are there so many parents that want an answer from you right now on the choice you are going to make about your future work and career!
I think they worry about your future and happiness, but just forget to get to know you better before making demands. But some of us just don’t know yet? Ugh...it isn’t that easy for everybody and you might just have to show them that, and they might just have to respect that.
Maybe using this little suggestion today can be the thing you use to show them that it isn’t as easy as 1 2 3 This is who I want to be.
Enjoy being a teen while you are one!
In 2015 the bulk of Generation Y, your Gen, will be 25 years old.

Here’s a simple run down to help you be ahead on this work thing:
Work, should not be work. Work, should be the thing you find in life that you really love and have fun doing. There’s a chain reaction in that: ~ You love what you do = you go to work feeling like you’re not at work.

~ Not feeling like you’re working at work = Low stress
~ Low stress = makes you happy when you’re not at work
~ The more you love and feel something = you will be the best at it
~ When you’re good at it – you get paid the bigger bucks

You may not find what you want to do during high school, you may not find it right after either. But that’s okay? Everyone is different with that, and also have different things going on with their family at home that might interfere with the resources you have to check into it.
If you want to start getting an idea for what you might love to do for work some day, for your real income, there Is an easy way to find out!

School career counselors are one thing, and some just don’t offer a ‘career check connections’ program. But there is a bottom line reality way to do this.

Simply go to a place where someone is doing this work already, find out the name of someone that works there.
Or you could email him or her if you get their email address. You could call them also. Then contact them and tell them you would like to have a talk with them in person, and ask them some questions. You might even find out you get along with that person and they like you and might let you come sit in for a few hours on the job. They might show you some hard knocks and some rewards. The main thing is that you get to see the work on the inside, at a distance from your own views.
If you write down a list of questions and take it with you it will make it even better so you can compare details of other visits on other job sites once you’re at home thinking about this.
*Questions to ask the person:
How much college did it take?
Do you love what you do?
Do you make enough money to make you happy?
Do you ever get stressed at work and what things are stressful?
*Questions you can ask yourself:
What did I like that I saw on my visit?
What did I find out that I didn’t expect, that surprised me?
What kind of lifestyle do I want to live and will this fit in?
Will the job requirements and hour structure give me the freedom do the things I want to do outside of work?
Will I make the income level I see myself making as an adult?

I hope this little blog today will help give some of you in need, some ammo to be a few steps ahead so you can live your life at home less stressful.
